We do not publish a company registration number or postal address on this page. If you need those details for a formal request, ask by email and we will provide what is required to identify the controller.

02 WHAT WE PROCESS

Under the GDPR and Lei 58/2019:

• No user accounts, no checkout, and no messages stored on this website’s servers.
• The contact form sends your name, email and message to info@soundwavesfest.com through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). This website does not keep a copy. FormSubmit delivers the message by email. Until that inbox confirms the form, FormSubmit may hold the message for up to 30 days.
• We store your cookie preference (sw-cookies = accept or reject) in this browser’s localStorage so we can respect that choice.
• We store the time the homepage intro last played (sw-loader) in this browser so it appears again only after 15 days. That value stays on the device and is not sent to our servers.
• YouTube is embedded only after you Accept cookies. Reject (or no choice yet) keeps the aftermovie as a link to the official YouTube video, with no embed.

03 PURPOSES & BASES

• Responding to emails you send us — legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and/or steps prior to a contract when you ask about events or press (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
• Remembering cookie consent and loader preference — consent for non-essential embeds (Art. 6(1)(a)); storing the consent choice and essential local preferences so the site can work as you chose (Art. 6(1)(c) / (f) as applicable, and Lei 41/2004).
• Ticket purchases — not processed by this website. Shotgun is the independent seller and controller for checkout data.

04 RETENTION

• Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law.
• sw-cookies and sw-loader stay in your browser until you clear site data or change/remove them; the loader timestamp is used for about 15 days before the intro may play again.
• We do not run our own analytics database on this site.

05 RECIPIENTS

• Contact form — name, email and message go through FormSubmit to info@soundwavesfest.com. Emails you send yourself go through your email provider to info@soundwavesfest.com or press@soundwavesfest.com.
• Shotgun — if you follow a ticket link, you leave this site; Shotgun processes purchase data under its own policies.
• YouTube / Google — only if you Accept cookies and an embed loads. Google may process data (including outside the EEA) under its own terms and safeguards. If you Reject, we do not load the player.
• Social icons are plain links (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Spotify, etc.). They do not embed third-party widgets on this page.

06 YOUR RIGHTS

Where GDPR applies to data we hold about you (for example emails you have sent), you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability where applicable, and withdrawal of consent. Email info@soundwavesfest.com. We may need to verify your identity.

07 CNPD

You may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority CNPD: cnpd.pt.

We may update this notice when the site or our practices change. The version on this page is the current one.
